The design of this alternate covers piece addresses the goals of this project by creating two different covers and only using color and text to convey different messages.
In the Vacation Pix cover, I used bright colors parred with a cool blue background and vivid white and pink text to create a cover that inspires a feeling cold like that of a winter's morning—appealing to an audience interested in taking a vacation in Alaska.
For the GeoScience cover, I used the same background image as the other cover, but this time altered its color scheme to convey a sense of foreboding represented here by the melting snow and the yellow smog-covered sky and a text and color combination that gives the image a sense of urgency—appealing to its audience of individuals that are concerned about our planet's climate.
Both covers demonstrate my ability to effectively use color, text, and images to convey a message and my ability to appeal to a variety of different audiences while working with limited assets and restrictions.
